    St Francis of Assis High reward outstanding performers

    CHIKOMBA- Roman Catholic Church run St Francis of Assis High School in Chikomba district has held its fourth speech and prize giving ceremony where outstanding performers were rewarded with prizes.
    The recently held event was graced by Engineer Brighton Gwavava a former student at the school who was the guest of honor accompanied by Leonard Madzivire a former student as well.
    The following were adjudged the best in their respective forms Adiel Banda Form 1, Felistas Mukaro Form 2, Tanatswa Benyera Form 3, Tadiwa Fandirori Form 4, Cynthia Rupere Lower 6 and Kudzai Samakande Upper 6. For their efforts they received certificates and prize money courtesy of Step In Style and Bakers Inn.
     Gina Pabgwaunga, Mazviita Nyamukuruzo, Tafara Chinavamwe and Ashley Padzinza received certificates and cash prizes for being the best returning students at 'A' Level.
    Teachers who had the best pass rates also received certificates and food hampers for their efforts at the ceremony and these were Danai Mukanda, Liya Mangara, Amos Jiri,Prosper Chizodza, Albert Gwekwe and Jacob Maburutse.
    In the non-teaching category, Rodwell Mudadi, Susan Mwedziwenda and Marshal Machibura also received food hampers and certificates.
    Other dignitaries who attended the ceremony were District Schools Inspector Emmanuel Kwenda, who was accompanied by Joseph Wagoneka from the district education offices, Archibald Makare, the constituency coordinator, the school Principal Brother Ndavaningi Sithole, Father Albert Mari, headman Madamombe, SDC representatives, the school head Tafirei Mbira.
    Brother Sithole said the event should not be regarded as competition but collaboration. Gwavava said such events motivate students as they always spire to be the best in their school work in order to be recognized at the end of the year.
