    Murambinda B Primary comes 2nd at NAC national Quiz


    MURAMBINDA - Murambinda B Primary School of Murambinda Growth Point in Buhera flew Manicaland Province flag high when it came second in the National AIDS Council (NAC) quiz competitions held at Prince Edward High School in Harare last week.
    Murambinda B which was representing Manicaland Province was beaten to first position by Ngwalo Ngwalo of  Bulawayo.
    The third position went to Chipindura Primary School of Mashonaland Central, fourth Hwiru Primary School of Masvingo Province, fifth Mupamombe Primary of Mashonaland West, number six Shake Primary of Matebeland South, number seven Marian Evora Primary School of Midlands and number 8 Chivhu Primary School of Mashonaland East.
    Four pupils, Takudzwa Mubani, Tanatswa Mashura, Tafadzwa Mutara and Takunda Munodei from Murambinda B Primary got silver medals and E-readers each.
    Eight schools from Matebeleland, Mash East, Mash Central, Masvingo and Midlands provinces took part in the competitions.
    The competitions were sponsored by NAC.
    Manuel Mhuru, the Headmaster of Murambinda B expressed his satisfaction at the performance of the pupils.
    "The school is very grateful to the quiz master Maxwell Chikwangwani and our pupils for putting our school on the map. We attribute such an achievement from the training they received from cluster level to National level," he said.
    The quiz trainer, Ngwasha Beauty said that she felt very proud of the children who participated and won during the quiz competitions.
    "As trainers, we are very proud of our children who participated," said Ngwasha.
