    Govt transfers 20 district administrators

CHIREDZI – The Ministry of Rural Development and Preservation of National Cultural Heritage has transferred over 20 district administrators (DA) in a move aimed at improving efficiency as well as creating new working environment for the DAs.
Dr Thokozile Chitepo, the permanent secretary in the Ministry confirmed the development in a telephone interview with The Mirror. She said the transfers are routine. They are meant to move administrators who have been at the same stations for more than five years.
Dr Chitepo said the moves which were long overdue will increase efficiency by putting people into new working environments and she ruled out any sinister motives behind the transfers.
"I can confirm that our Ministry is transferring quite a number of District Administrators from the stations which they are currently working to other stations. It is generally a routine exercise which was supposed to have been done before we adopted the ministry," said Chitepo.
Sources within the ministry said Chiredzi District Administrator Mrs. Clara Muzenda who turned down an opportunity to be Acting Provincial Administrator is moving to Chimanimani district in Manicaland while Tapson Chivanga of Zaka will be in Mvuma.
