    Gweru City council purchases 10 skip bins

    GWERU – The Commission run City Council of Gweru in its bid to manage waste in the city of progress has recently purchased skip bins which will be placed at the City's busiest points to avoid people throwing waste everywhere.
    Gweru City Council Acting Town Clerk Edgar Mwedzi has confirmed the development which he said will go a long way in keeping the city clean.
    "The city purchased 10 skip bins, a refuse truck and a refuse compactor from a company in Harare. So far nine skip bins have been delivered and we are waiting for the refuse truck which will tow the bins to the dump site and one refuse compactor," said Mwedzi
    "The bins will be placed at busy business points especially at Kudzanai terminus, TM terminus, Mkoba 6 shopping center, Mkoba 16 Shopping Center, Senga and other busy shopping centers were a lot of waste is deposited.local news
