MBERENGWA – Five teachers have tendered their transfer letters from Chegato Primary School in Mberengwa North to run away from a male teacher who is alleged to be using mubobobo (mythical sex) to have sex with ladies.
Midlands Provincial Education Director, Agnes Gudo said she has heard the reports and investigations were under way. She declined to give further details.
"The district is investigating the matter and we are yet to get details," said Gudo.
The Mirror however, went to the school this week on Monday and bumped into village headmen, traditional healers and the local chief who were attending a meeting called by the Schools Development Committee to persuade the teachers to withdraw their transfers.
The media was barred from attending the meeting but The Mirror caught up with Wonder Molline Hove coming from the meeting and she identified herself as a traditional healer from Gokwe-Nembudziya called to the school to help cleanse it.
"Tanga tiri mumusangano pamwechete nevamwe varapi nemasabhuku naVashe pachitsvakwa mazano ekupedza shura iri rekubatwa kwamamai nezvindofa (We have just been in a meeting of traditional healers, headmen and the local chief to resolve the case of sexual abuse of women by goblins)," said Hove.
Hove also told The Mirror that he was aware of five teachers who had sought transfers from the school.
One of the teachers who declined to be named for professional reasons said she actually hears footsteps  outside as she sleeps before something in the shape of human being enters her bed and sexually abuses her.
She said she would try to scream but would be powerless (ndinobatwa nemadzikirira) until verything is over.
She accused a senior male teacher in the school for the mubobobo sex. Several other teachers plus a traditional healer also gave the same account.
The school head Edson Zhou refused to comment.
School Development Chairperson Josiah Chimwanda also declined to comment and threatened to beat up The Mirror reporter.
"Get away from here before you regret," said Chimwanda threatening to assault this reporter but was restrained by one headmen identified as Masarira.
