    - Emerging Border Strikers goal scoring machine Clever Mutendebvure (24) has vowed to ensure that the border town of Beitbridge enjoys Premiership matches next year by avoiding relegation at the end of the season after masterminding Ngezi Platinum FC's 2-0 defeat.
Mutendebvure scored a brace during the match which saw them moving off the bottom of the log and being replaced by Tsholotsho FC but with 13 points apiece.
"I am grateful for the opportunity to play and I promise to take the team to greater heights and avoid relegation at the end of the season
"I am glad that the team is now intact and no one is suspended at the moment unlike in the last game in Harare where most of our players were on suspension. We will make sure that we collect maximum points from the five remaining home games," said Mutendebvure affectionately known as 'Congo Dust'.
Never Malunga, Border Strikers head coach said he was happy with his charges' performance during the game against Ngezi and added that if they continue with the form they will avoid relegation.sport news
