FMC donates to ZRP Gwanda FC

    - A micro finance institution has donated two soccer kits to Central Region Division One outfit, ZRP Gwanda FC recently.
FMC handed over the kits at Matabeleland South Provincial Police Headquarters in Gwanda which was also used as a welcoming ceremony for the athletics team that represented Mat-South in the Commissioner General Police Sports Gala held in Harare. Speaking at the handover ceremony FMC regional manager, Clever Chidarikire said his organisation has been assisting ZRP sports at national level and this time they have decided to do it at provincial level.
"FMC is sponsoring sports as a way of giving back to the Gwanda community where we also do business," he said.
ZRP Gwanda FC is a Police and community owned team.
"As we are gathered here welcoming our athletes from Harare we saw it prudent that we combine the event with our partners in sport, FMC who have graced us for a good cause," Chief Superintendent Enoch Sibanda said.
The team has 20 points from 18 games played so far and is on number 12 in the 16 team log table led by Shabanie Mine with 41 points.sport news
