    Zanu PF suspends 11 executive members in Masvingo

    Zanu PF is serving 11 senior provincial executive members in Masvingo with prohibition orders that bar them from taking part in party activities.
    The 11 are believed to be Vice President Emmerson Mnangagwa loyalists. Sources said that the same prohibition letters would soon be served on party gurus in the province and in particular, Politburo member, Josiah Hungwe.
    In the main wing, Alois Baloyi who is the provincial information and publicity secretary, Jevas Masosota secretary for science and technology, Ignatius Murindi a committee member, Zvepano Munganasa secrtary for health and child care, Buster Mafio deputy secretary for security and Godhati Dunira Hungwe the secretary for transport from the main wing have all been ordered to stop conducting any party business until they have been cleared by a disciplinary committee.
    In the women's league Mucharevei Chamisa, secretary for commissariat, Zindari Prisca Moyo, secretary for finance and Susan Madzivadondo the secretary for administration were served with prohibition letters together with Brian Munyoro youth league secretary for commissariat and Senderai Manyanga secretary for science and technology again in the youth league.
    The prohibition letters which The Mirror has and are dated July 28, 2016 were signed by the acting provincial chairman Amasa Nhenjana who is allegedly aligned to G40.
    The 11 are accused of contravening Article 3 Section 21, Sub-section 1; 2; 4; and 5 by campaigning against women's league march in February. They are also accused of meeting and undermining the authority of the president on February 16 2016, at the Chiefs Hall where the members denounced the suspension of the chairman Ezra Ruvai Chadzamira and of blocking members from attending the Million Man march.
    They are further charged with attending a meeting at Masvingo Polytechnic on May 28 which was convened by central committee member and Kadoma business mogul Jamaya Muduvuri and attended by among others war veterans, chairman Christopher Mutsvangwa, Pupurai Togarepi, Jacob Matemadanda, Shuvai Mahofa where they allegedly connived to revolt against President Mugabe.
    They are also alleged to have undermined the authority of Daniel Shumba the MP for Masvingo Urban and deputy secretary for transport in the Politiburo on July 24 2016, by holding a meeting in his constituency without his clearance.
    "…you deliberately conducted, called, facilitated or attended meetings in Masvingo Urban, without authority of PEC, or the Provincial Chairman or the seating Zanu Pf MP, thus undermining a senior member of the party;
    "In that you are conducting, attending or facilitating and campaigning in a Masvingo Urban Constituency by carrying out political activities with (sic) authority of the party, and in the process undermining a senior party member and bring the party into disrepute," reads the charges.
    When contacted for a comment most members scoffed at the allegations and described them as malicious and bend on personal hatred than anything else.
    "It is against the Zanu PF Constitution for the chairman to write letters to youth league members prohibiting them from performing party duties. That letter should come from the wing of which there is nothing like that at the moment," said Munyoro when asked for a comment.
    Madzivadondo also dismissed the allegations against him
    .Munganasa said he has not heard about the letters.
    Baloyi and Moyo said they have only received messages to come and collect their prohibition letters hence they could not comment.
