    – The threats by the Minister of State for Masvingo, Shuvai Mahofa that she was going to relocate Chingwizi floods victims within a week of her last visit seems to have melted away as three months have gone by without any word from her.
Mahofa accompanied by a powerful delegation of provincial heads of Government departments visited Chingwizi Transit Camp in Mwenezi and told the flood victims that they were being relocated within two weeks and anyone who failed to move was going to regret.
However, Mahofa returned to Chingwizi on a different mission on Monday this week when she accompanied the Minister of Health and Child Care, Dr David Parirenyatwa and the Commander of the Zimbabwe Defence Forces, General Constantino Chiwenga for the official handover of a clinic built by the Army to the Ministry.
Mahofa virtually said nothing about the relocation but instead applauded the victims for their endurance in the face of hardships paused by the life at the transit camp.
A village head who requested anonymity accused Mahofa of not being remorseful for the threats she made and her failure to improve the welfare of the victims.
"She is doing nothing about compensation for our homes that were taken over under the dam area," said the village head.
