    GUTU-
An 80-year-old granny Zvichanzini Mutsvanga of Chakanyuka Village under Chief Mazuru was last week burnt to death after her kitchen hut mysteriously caught fire.
Provincial Police spokesperson Inspector Charity Mazula confirmed the incident.
"Zvichanzini Mutsvanga from Chakanyuka  village was found dead at her homestead after her house caught fire at around 7pm," said Mazula.
The incident happened when Mutsvanga had just left her drinking partners at Makavadzira homestead where they were drinking home brewed beer.
It is said that Vengai Makavadzira (74) a neighbour noticed the fire on the rooftop of Mutsvanga`s kitchen and alerted other villagers to put out the raging fire but they failed as the roof  had already collapsed.
Later Mutsvanga`s charred body was retrieved from the gutted hut by the villagers who later on reported to the Police. Mazula said no foul play is suspected.
