    Chiredzi head in fatal accident

    CHIREDZI
    – The headmaster of South Eastern College (SEC) was recently involved in a horrific road accident which claimed the life of his 10 year old son.
    Soccer fans who witnessed the accident said Tawanda Chimhamhiwa was driving an Audi vehicle towards Chiredzi. When he was approaching ZSA Bus Stop he tried to overtake other vehicles noticed an oncoming vehicle. He tried to go back into his lane and that is when he lost control of the vehicle and it flew into a tree before it rolled several times seriously injuring his son Tawananyasha Chimhamhiwa who died on the way to hospital.
    Samson Makonese who is a close relative to the Chimhamhiwa family confirmed the fatal incident and said Tawananyasha was buried at Chiredzi Cemetry a few days later. He said the unfortunate disaster left the family devastated and confirmed that Chimhamhiwa was not seriously injured in the accident.
    "We are coming from the cemetery to bury Tawananyasha and his father was not hospitalized after the accident. The incident left us devastated and we are trying to come to terms with what happened" said Makonese.
    Another accident involving a vehicle owned by a Chiredzi businessman Obert Ngwenya happened 100 metres before Buffallo Range on Sunday. The Toyota Hilux was carrying a Chiredzi family which was coming from a memorial service in rural Gweru when it veered off the road and rolled several times killing one person on the spot and another died on arrival at the hospital.
