    Chibuku road to fame roars into life

    Battle of the bands in the Chibuku Road to Fame competition has roared into life as the provincial competitions are to be held at Huruyadzo Gardens in Chivi on Saturday (August 20, 2016).
    A total of 10 bands will battle it out for $US1000 prize money and a ticket to the national level competition whilst the first runner ups will get $500 with the second runner ups getting $300
    The groups that will battle it out include Orchestra Kururama, Lowveild Spears, Save Vibes, Serima arts, Faces of Africa among others.
    Caroline Chikwanda, a programs officer at National Arts Council confirmed to The Mirror.
    "The competition has roared into life and ten bands will battle it out this Saturday at Huruyadzo Gardens," said Chikwanda.
    Last year provincial winners, Hwezhira Band will perform as the guest group.
    National competitions are slated for September 24, 2016 in Harare at Glammis arena Alistair
