4 Brigade commander visits Mucheke Old People’s home

    – 4 Infantry Brigade Commander, Brigadier Excebious Tshuma last Friday visited Mucheke Old People's home where he provided assistance in the form of medication and supported renovations at the place.
The visit was part of the Army's programme in the commemoration of this year's Defence Forces and Heroes' Day. Brigadier Tshuma said that many people at the old people's home were too old to walk to the stadium for the commemorations.
He said citizens have a duty to bring those commemorations to the old people and 4 Brigade was doing just that.
He added that the main objective of his visit was to have pleasant time with the old people and bring a cheer to their faces.
"This community assistance did not start here, we visited other places like Chingwizi where we constructed a clinic, Ndarama High School where we constructed a block of classrooms and we also constructed a laboratory at Mutonhori Secondary School.
"We also helped in the repainting of this Mucheke Old People's Home and repair broken pipes", said Brigadier Tshuma.
Mucheke Old People's Home administrator, Joseph Phiri commented Brigadier Tshuma for the gesture.
"I give thanks to Commander Tshuma and the Army for coming to help us and senior medical officer Magadzire Matsvaire who gave 20 inmates medical treatment," said Phiri.
Sarah Nyamadzaro an inmate aged (87) said that she was grateful for the medication donated to the institution by Brigadier Tshuma.
