    183 wildlife students graduate at Mushandike


    – Some 183 students have graduated at Mushandike College of Wildlife Management at the institution's 7th graduation ceremony last Friday.
    Graduands were drawn from the courses of Wildlife Management, Accountancy and Information Technology.
    The theme of the graduation was: 'Human Capital Development for the Conservation of Zimbabwe's Wildlife Resources'.
    Minister of Environment, Water and Climate, Honourable Oppar Muchinguri Kashiri graced the graduation ceremony.
    Representatives from the Zimbabwe Parks and Wildlife Management Authority, Environment Management Agency, Forestry Commission and official from other Tertiary Institutions came to witness the event.
    Muchinguri said choosing a career in the area of environment conservation was a wise decision by the graduating students.
    "You have opened many doors of opportunities in your lives, go on and venture into wildlife to feed the nation and the Government looks up to you to generate employment," said Muchinguri.
    Speaking to the graduands the Principal of Mushandike College, Dickson Chitupa congratulated the students for working hard through the programme.
    He also said that the college was Science Technology Engineering Mathematics (STEM) program compliant.
    "This college is a STEM compliant Institution that seeks to help in the science modules.
    "We are planning for a Bachelor of Science programme in partnership with National University of Science Technology so that our science and information technology departments will become more efficient and become a centre of wildlife studies. The college is also going to rebrand its colours from white to gold," said Chitupa.
