    Vurombo, Ndarama shine at Scripture Union talent show


    – Vurombo Primary and Ndarama High School won this year's Scripture Union (SU) talent show held at Mucheke Hall two weeks ago where they showcased their talent in singing, drama and poetry.
    Five primary schools and four secondary schools from Masvingo district took part in the competitions.
     Farirai Mukumba, Khetani Banda and Fadziso Sakala from the Masvingo Theatre Club were the adjudicators. Mukumba urged the students to pursue their talents.
     "I am surprised to notice that we have so many artists from primary and high school, keep on pursuing your talents I would love to see you participate at various arts festivals held around the country," said Mukumba
    The best actor was Tatenda Gwati from Mazambara High school and the best lead singer was Precious Panganai from Vurombo Primary School.
    In the junior category Vurombo scooped first prize, Runyararo on second while Shakashe were on third position.
     In senior category Ndarama won the best prize, Mazambara second and Victoria on third position. All winners walked away with various prizes of books and pens.
    SU Provincial Coordinator, Ndinatsei Sithole encouraged pupils to identify and develop their talents.
     "You should be able to identify your talents and be able to earn a living through your talents, SU will help in grooming the artists in a Godly manner," said Sithole. education news
