    – Unki Mine has offered to construct a clinic in ward 19 under Headman Matsveru in Chief Chivi's area, a move welcome by villagers who are travelling more than 10km to the nearest health service centre.
The offer was announced by Chivi Rural District Council Chief Executive Officer, Tariro Matavire during a full council meeting held at the Council's offices recently.
Matavire said Unki Community Services Director visited the site and indicated that Unki Mine intends to finance the whole project.
Ward 19 councillor Aaron Chikandiwa said the construction of the clinic comes as a great relief to the people who were travelling distances to get medical service.
Unki Mine donated 200 bags of cement on July 1, 2016 for the construction of the clinic and the community is in the process of moulding bricks.
"I am happy with this development and I want to thank Unki Mine for this gesture for the construction of a clinic in my ward.
"People are travelling more than 10km from this ward to Ngundu, Magwari and Berejena to get medical assistance," said Chikandiwa.
