    GUTU -
The Provincial Education Director for Masvingo, Zedius Chitiga has sent a team of two auditors to Hwiru Primary School in Gutu to investigate the procurement of a $156 000 school bus whose procurement parents have complained against.
Gutu District education officer, Christian Chirikure confirmed the development and added that the auditors arrived at Hwiru on Monday and they are expected to be there until Friday.
"Two auditors arrived at Hwiru on Monday and they have started their investigations. They are going to leave the school after they are done with their work," said Chirikure.
Parents are alleging that the school head, John Takabvirwakare and the school committee are failing to produce documents for the purchase of the bus.
The Ministry sent the auditors to the school after parents allegedly accused Takabvirwakare and members of the former SDC of making a secret trip to Harare two weeks ago to see the suppliers of the bus.
The SDC chairperson Russel Mudoro confirmed the developments and said he did not have anything to comment as he had not yet been interviewed by the auditors.
Parents who talked with The Mirror expressed their gratitude towards the Ministry and also said that they are anxiously waiting for the results from these investigations.
"We really want to thank the Ministry for intervening in this issue, and we are really waiting to hear the results from their investigations towards the issue," said one of the concerned parents.
