    Chibuku Neshamwari finals on this weekend in Chivi

    – The provincial Chibuku Neshamwari finals are on at Chivi Growth Point on Saturday.
    They will be taking place at Huruyadzo Gardens.
    Chibuku Neshamwari Traditional Dance Festival which is sponsored by Delta Beverages is co-organised by Zimbabwe National Traditional Dancers Association (ZNTDA) and National Arts Council of Zimbabwe.
    Vice President of ZNTDA who is also provincial head Edson Kuseka said 10 groups will compete for the ticket to represent Masvingo at the national finals to be held later in the year. He said the dance competitions have brought not only excitement but respect for local culture and heritage urging communities to participate as well as support the competition.
    "We are holding our provincial competitions in Chivi on Saturday July 2, 2016 where ten groups will compete for the right to represent Masvingo at the national finals. The groups which will compete are Dzimbahwe (majukwa), Lundi (bira), Kamba Shangara (shangara), Muchongoyo dancers (muchongoyo), Musa Troupe (bira), Chisa Troupe (bira), Guhudza (bira), Matande (bira), Komanani (Siyambela and Ivhu inhaka (mhande). Last year`s provincial winners Gango group from Masvingo Teachers College will be the guest group and Black Spirits will be on reserve"
    Winners of the provincial finals will walk away with $500, with second and third place getting $300 and $200 respectively. All groups will get an appearance fee of $100.
