    Chibi wins NASH ball games

    - Chibi High School made an effortless dismissal of its opponents as it easily won NASH District Ball Games held on its homeground two weeks ago.
Chibi U17 football team with the support from its vociferous crowd, found its way to the finals easily as it defeated each team it played against.
In the semi-finals, Chibi effortlessly thumped Makamba School 4-0 thereby proceeding to finals against Ngundu Halt High School which had edged Chitenderano by a goal to nil.
The match commenced on a bright side in favour of Chibi as it found an early goal through Charles Lumbilani who converted a cheeky cross from a young player identified as Lawrence "Lolo" Chimonga in the 5th minute.
Ngundu Halt tried to weave some build ups to penetrate solid defence of Chibi but the instincts were futile as they failed to find the back of the net.
Lumbilani`s fantabulous strike set the score line of the match and Chibi now proceeds to the provincials despite being the 2015 defending champs.
However, Ngundu also progressed to provincials automatically since it made it to finals with Chibi, the defending champions.
NASH District chairperson Austen Hakunavanhu was happy with the success of the event and applauded the winning teams which are to represent Chivi district at the provincial level.
"I am happy with the smooth progress of the games. I wish the best for all the teams which are to represent the district. Hope they will make it through to the nationals," said Hakunavhanu.
Chibi netball team progressed to provincial level after beating Neruvanga School 18-9.
In U 20 girls soccer discipline, Ngundu Halt was thumped by a goal by Chidyamakono in the finals.
Provincial level competitions will be held on July 2, 2016 in Chiredzi at Hippo Valley High School.sport news
