    - Bladgefields Marketing, a wholly owned Zimbabwean company based in Harare is aggressively marketing Money Maker manual irrigation pumps to farmers in Chikomba and Chirumanzu districts.
The Money maker pumps are produced by Kick Start International Company in Kenya and Bladgefields is the sole distributor in Zimbabwe.
Last week Bladgefields representatives were on a whirlwind tour of the two districts where they demonstrated to farmers how to use the Money maker hip and Max pump.
Bladgefields marketing officer, Hillary Mukwenha said they largely target the rural population to make more money out of their yields and eradicate poverty by stimulating food security which is in line with ZIMASSET.
In Chirumanzu, the company made demonstrations in Ward 11, Pezulu Village in Lynwood and ward 20 at Mavisi Village.
He said the company has demonstrated to farmers in areas such as Chimanimani, Murehwa, Gweru among many other places the use and maintenance of the pumps which he also added that the pumps enhance wise usage of water and serves time and labor.
Bladgefields was established last year and from there it has grown from strength to strength as witnessed by its supply of pumps across the country. The company imports the pumps from Kenya.
Bladgefields sells low- cost and high quality irrigation pumps, enabling small scale farmers to make their own rain, significantly increasing yields, incomes and providing a real path out of poverty.
Mukwenha said the pumps are of high quality, durable and low cost($140 for the hip and $240 for the Max pump).
The pumps are for low-income farmers who use them to irrigate their plots, enabling them to move from rain-fed subsistence farming to all year-round commercial irrigated agriculture.
