    -  Stephen Nyamwanza (52) a teacher at Majada Primary School under Chief Chiwara in Gutu - who was facing rape charges - has been acquitted by a Masvingo Magistrate Collert Ncube on May 6.
Magistrate said that the girl was pressured into revealing who raped her by the School lady teachers and Police officers who came to investigate the case and she just assumed it was Nyamanza.
The court heard that the offence was committed during the night and the girl could not see the person who raped her properly since there was no source of light.
It was the State case that on June 15 2015, at around 6pm at Majada Business Centre the girl realised that it was late and went to sleep alone in a classroom at Majada Secondary School.
At around midnight Nyamwanza entered the same classroom and pulled off the complainant's jersey which prompted her to scream with Nyamwanza shoving pieces of paper into her mouth.
Nyamwanza threatened to kill her if she informed anyone that he had sexual intercourse with her without her consent.
He tore the girl's skin tight and pants and raped the girl.
He then left a five dollar note on the blankets and went away.
Nyamwanza also happened to be the complainant's volleyball trainer and a former teacher.
In his defense the accused say he was at his homestead with his wife and son at the alleged time.
He also told the court that there was a Dutch Reformed Church meeting at the school on the same day the offense is said to have been committed.
    Sophia Bhusvumani prosecuted.
