    Copa coca cola launched

…… as coaches and football players told to remain disciplined

-Following a 4 -3 penalty shoot-out victory over Rujeko in Barbourfields Stadium in Bulawayo, Dewure high school won the right to host the 2016's official launch of the Copa coca cola tournament which took place at the school on Friday last week
The official launch of the tournament was meant to pave a way for the beginning of Zonal competitions slated for this week while the district competitions are scheduled for June 10 with the provincial finals set for July 8.  The national finals will be played in Gwanda's Phelandaba stadium on July 22-24, 2016.
In attendance, stakeholders at the launch expressed the need to eradicate age cheating in football and cautioned players and their coaches to be disciplined.
National Association of Secondary School Heads (NASH) president Johnson Madhuku said the association had put stiff and contingent measures to curb the problem this year.
"We as NASH  have agreed that physical vetting  supersedes other documents and we will be very strict in that , we  want to eradicate age cheating and make sure  that those with the rightful documents participate in their rightful age groups. Players should have birth certificates that have been obtained within seven years of birth and also schools will be using team photos from zonal level up to national and as such we will not allow any new faces along the way to the finals. Our players should abort indiscipline and follow given instructions", said Madhuku.
Madhuku thanked Coca cola for its continued support of the tournament.  He added that NASH will continue  to increasingly applaud, appreciate and express profound gratitude to the coca cola company for supporting the tournament and identifying soccer talent at a tender age .
"As NASH , we continue to thank Coca cola for their continued relationship, partnership and support for NASH football for 28 years marked this year in the under 16 boys category and for the sixth year in the under 17 girls category", he said.
Zimbabwe Football Association president Omega Sibanda also castigated age cheating in schools and in Zimbabwe at large.
Delta beverages Southern region sales executive Rold Baloyi said Coca cola is committed and expecting to see developments in grassroots soccer across the country.
"We have a vision to develop football sporting excellence from grassroots level, we hope to create a permanent sporting legacy for Zimbabwe", said Baloyi
The guest of honor, the Provincial Education Director Zedius Chitiga lamented the subject of discipline which he said it is a key to success
"I am not referring to discipline only in the field of play but also in one's personal life, it is actually now the most important key to success", said Chitiga.
