    – There is a fierce clash in the Zanu PF structures after the youth league chairman refused to surrender a party vehicle to the provincial chairman who has no car and walks to meetings on foot.
Nobert Ndaarombe has vowed to defy the provincial directive for him to hand over the vehicle that he is currently using to the provincial chairman.
The Provincial Coordinating Committee ordered Ndaarombe at a closed door meeting held at Masvingo Polytechnic on Sunday to surrender the car that he is using to the provincial chairman, Amanas Nhenjana who travels around on public transport.
"I will not hand over the car to the chairman because I did not get the vehicle from the province but from the national department of transport and social welfare. I explained the position to Nhenjana and he understood it," Ndaarombe said in a telephone interview with The Mirror.
A source who attended the quarterly PCC meeting told The Mirror that the matter came up during the discussion of the post President Mugabe's birthday audit which some members felt was taking long and they wanted the extra resources to be used for the welfare of the chairman who had no car.
The source told The Mirror that the MP for Masvingo Central, Edmond Mhere, moved a motion that the acting chairman be given the car which is being used by Ndaarombe.
When contacted for a comment Mhere confirmed the development.
"Yes I moved the motion that we cannot have a junior driving a car while his senior is walking on foot to attend to Party business. We should learn to respect the position of the chairman and not the person," said Mhere.local news
