    Mberengwa businessman in court for shooting miner


    - A prominent Mberengwa businessman Lizwe Moyo (43) popularly known as Mangena has appeared at Mberengwa Magistrates' Court after he allegedly shot and injured a miner he accused of stabbing his shopkeeper.
    It is the State case that on April 8, 2016 Francis Shumba was at Greenhouse tuck shop in Vanguard compound when the complainant approached him. Mangena allegedly accused Shumba of stabbing his shopkeeper and he wanted to hand him over to Mberengwa Police Station.
    When Shumba refused to comply Moyo allegedly pulled out a revolver from his waist and fired one shot in the air and another directed at Shumba.
    Shumba sustained two wounds, one on the front and the other at back of the hip.
    After realising that he had injured Shumba he dragged him into his car and drove to the Police station.
    Moyo was arrested on arrival while Shumba was admitted at Mberengwa District Hospital.
    Moyo appeared before Magistrate Tavengwa Sangster who released him on $100 bail and is due to appear in court again on.......................... April 25, 2016 by Magistrate Tavengwa Sangster.
