    Prototype wins provincial Jibilika Dance Festival


    - 2014 national Jibilika Dance Festival second runners up Prototype have won the right to represent the Masvingo at the provincial finals held recently where they shrugged of challenge from last year's representatives Zvaazvinhu.
    Prototype put up a solid performance in front of a full house at Charles Austin Theartre mainly composed of youth who braved the light showers to witness the 9th edition of the festival. 
    A total of four dance groups and 10 solo dancers took part in the provincial finals.
     Ishmael Gambarami and Brandon Yusufu won in the crump category, Dean Machingambi and Ike Wita qualified in the solo new school hip hop category.
    "I am happy with the big turn out and amazing talent that was displayed. The level of competitions keep improving every year and hope more groups will register to take part in the next edition," remarked Plot Mhako projects director at Jibilika
    The audience was graced by MIA, who were crowned best Hip Hop group at the Masvingo Music Awards held on March 19 this year at Charles Austin Theatre, performing their hit song 'Hona Mwana wako'.entertainment news
