    Mwenezi launch Arts association

    - An association of artists has been launched in Mwenezi at Rutenga Business Centre with the aim of giving a voice and create a platform for all artists in Mwenezi District.
The initiative for the formation of the association - which is called Mwenezi Association of Arts - was led by Agrippa Tivarere.
About 21 representatives from different Arts groups across Mwenezi district attended the launch that took place on Saturday last week.
Present at the launch was the MP for Mwenezi East, Joshua Moyo and a representative of the Ministry of Rural Development, Promotion and Preservation of National Culture and Heritage, Madziva Kenneth.
The association was formed after Tivarere realised that there were a number of potential artists from Mwenezi district who can make it big if they were given the opportunity.
''The Association is keen to emancipate all disadvantaged Arts practitioners from all corners of Mwenezi'', said Tivarere.
Tivarere started working in the arts industry when he formed his acting group named Chirwirangwe Arts Production.
He published his poetry book entitled Voice of Fortitude in South Africa in the year 2014.
Tivarere worked with various institutions disseminating information through drama, poetry and music.
The Chirwirangwe group produced their first album 'Muroyi Ndiyani' in 2001 and now they are working on another one entitled 'Tsano mubhedhurumu mangu'.
The MP donated stationery and also promised financial assistance to the association.entertainment news
