    Mwenezi East Development Overseers hold meeting

    MWENEZI
    - Mwenezi East Development Overseers, an initiative by Mwenezi East MP, Joshua Moyo met on Saturday to discuss problems affecting people in the area.
    The forum brings together all Chiefs, councillors and ZANU PF senior party members in the area. Its mandate is to deal with problems that affect residents of Mwenezi East.
    The meeting attended to the problems of drought and Moyo said Government had distributed maize but there were village heads who always wanted to manipulate.
    The Overseers also discussed the sudden problems that floods caused two weeks ago. Roads have been affected by those floods and the constituency requires more graders for road maintenance
    About six dams from Chitanga, Negari, Mawarire areas were destroyed by the rains which lasted a couple of weeks. Moyo said the group resolved to come up with permanent solutions to the problem of floods.
    The platform discussed the problem of learning facilities and gave an example of Rutenga Primary School that has an enrolment of more than 900 pupils but has just five classroom blocks.local news
