    – The Minister of State for Masvingo, Shuvai Mahofa became a major attraction at the provincial independence celebrations held at Mucheke Stadium as she could barely walk and she had to read President Mugabe's speech while seated.
Inspection of the guard of honour had to be carried out by the Minister of State for Liaising on Psychomotor Activities in Education and Vocational Training Josiah Hungwe because of Mahofa's incapacitation.
Mahofa's body guard had to hold Mahofa and assist her walk from the car to the podium which was barely three metres away. She also had to walk with the assistance of a walking stick.
Meanwhile, hundreds of people attended the provincial celebrations.
Masvingo Provincial Administrator and the Chairman of the State functions, Felix Chikovo thanked the people of Masvingo for coming to the celebrations in big numbers.local news
