Kingdom Lifestyle to service 167 Beitbridge stands

    - Kingdom Lifestyle Africa (Pvt) Ltd, a land and real estate development company has signed a memorandum of agreement with Beitbridge Town Council to service 167 upmarket stands in Eastlea, a low density suburb in the border town.
The project which is expected to take between six and eight months to complete will cost $1,8 million.
Beitbridge town secretary, Loud Ramagkapola confirmed the project in a telephone interview with The Mirror this week.
"We have signed an MOU with Kingdom Lifestyle for them to service residential stands in the Eastlea area; they will tar the roads and lay water pipes.
"Our business as a council is service delivery and this is why we sought a private company partner to do the servicing of stands," said Ramagkapola.
Eastlea which is 2km from the Central Business District is Beitbridge's most posh suburb with expensive houses that in Zimbabwe can only be matched by those seen in Harare's plush suburbs of Umwinsidale, Borrowdale and Chisipite.
The stands measure between 1 200 square metres and 3, 200 square metres.
Kingdom Lifestyle projects executive, Tichaona Sithole said work on the project is about to start with just a few more documents to be finalised. He added that some material for servicing was already on site.
"We are just about to begin work on the project and by May 10, 2016, we should start laying pipes. The pipes are already on site and these are being supplied by Turnall Zimbabwe from their Bulawayo branch.
"Our contract on the project involves clearing the land, building roads and tarring them, building bridges including the drainage and laying water pipes. We are not laying pipes for sewerage because the suburb will use sceptic tanks," said Sithole.
He said Kingdom Lifestyle will start by laying water pipes and then build roads.
Equipment for the construction of the roads has been sourced from XGMA Zimbabwe, said Sithole.
The suburb is going to have some stands for churches and crèches.
He said the company has flexible payment plans for customers who need the stands and enquiries can be made at the Kingdom Lifestyle offices which are on number 1631, Impala Drive Extension in Beitbridge.
The councillor for ward …, Max Chikovo in Eastlea expressed his delight at the project.
"The project is actually taking long we want it to start yesterday and I am happy that the company is delivering on its promise as we have seen water pipes being delivered at the site," said Chikovo.
Kingdom Lifestyle was incorporated in 2013 in Masvingo and has spread its wings to Harare, Gweru and Kadoma.
In Gweru they have developed stands in Montrose high density suburb and in Kadoma they are servicing Sabonabona low density area with over 60 stands.
