    $2 000 damages granted in Zaka finance director’s adultery case

    - The wife of the finance director for Zaka Rural District Council has been granted $2 000 damages by the courts after she sued her husband's girlfriend Juliet Gamasi for adultery.
    Elizabeth Machemedze had applied for $10 000 damages but Zaka Resident Magistrate Dorothy Mwanyisa granted $2 000.
    Machemedze made startling revelations at the Zaka Magistrate's court that Timothy Machemedze her husband had withdrawn all his children from boarding schools after he failed to pay fees because of his love relationship with Gamasi.
    She said she suffered immensely because of that relationship as she would read text messages in her husband's phone. People would also publicly discuss the relationship.
    Machemedze was represented by Tongai Mutindi of Mupindu Legal Practitioners. She said that her husband squandered all resources including family property as he pampered his girlfriend.
    She also said that she had to endure sleeping in separate bedrooms with her husband because the marriage had become strained.local news
