    Chiredzi war vets back Mutsvangwa


    – More than 200 war veterans from Chiredzi met at Chetsanga Hall in the town and vowed to continue supporting their deposed chairman, Christopher Mutsvangwa.
    They vowed that there was no-one who would remove Mutsvangwa from his position except them since they are the once who elected him to that position. They also vowed to deal with anyone who wants to remove him as the chairperson of the organisation.
    They attacked the G40 group and described its members as the Johnie come lately who are there to sabotage Zanu PF.
    Addressing the meeting, Chiredzi District Liberation War Veterans Association chairperson Killer Makuni said they are saddened to hear that there were people who think they could remove Mutsvangwa from the chairmanship of the organisation.
    He said Mutsvangwa was going to see his term through.
    "We elected Mutsvangwa as war veterans at Great Zimbabwe and we are the ones who should remove him. We rally behind our President who is the patron of our organisation, and we also support the presidium but we are against a group of new-comers whose aim is to destroy the revolution" said Makuni.
    In an interview with The Mirror at the sidelines of the meeting Cde Robin Hove popularly known as Big Fish who is secretary for lands said, it was taboo not to respect liberators of one's country. local news
