    Chiredzi sex worker refuses to leave client’s home as hunger stocks


    – A commercial sex worker hired by a married Chiredzi man for the night has refused to leave the man's matrimonial home allegedly because she fears to face hunger that stocks her lodgings.
    Obert Vhuramani (39) of Doamin in Hippo Valley hired Nomatter Masekesa from Chigarapasi Beerhall after his wife had visited their rural home in Chivi.
    Masekesa who is struggling to put food on the table because of the ravaging drought and the harsh economic situation and drought, refused to leave the next morning despite being paid an agreed one-night stand $10 fee.
    Desperate Vhuramani had to rush to the courts on Thursday last week, to seek an eviction and  protection order and ensure that Masekesa is evicted before the wife returns.
    In the application, Vhuramani said he met Masekesa at Chigarapasi Beer Hall and they agreed to go for a one night stand at Vhuramani`s home in Hippo Valley. He further said they agreed for a $10 fee but on the following morning Masekesa said she was not yet ready to leave so, she stayed while Vhuramani went to work.
    She continued refusing to leave and it is now three weeks and is now abusing Vhuramani prompting Vhuramani to seek an eviction and protection order.
    "We agreed for a $10 fee for the night at my home but she is now refusing to leave. I am a married person and my wife is at my rural home in Chivi. She is now abusing me on a daily basis, I am no longer living in peace and I pray that the court grant me the order," read the application.
    An interim order was issued by Magistrate Tafadzwa Mhlanga and all parties were ordered to appear before the court on 22 March when the case will be heard.local news
