    Visually impaired Gonora to perform for President on his birthday

    MASVINGO - Talented guitarist and visually impaired Daniel Gonora and his gifted drummer Isaac (12) his son are set to perform for the First Family at the 21st February movement celebrations to be held at Great Zimbabwe Monuments on February 27.
    This was confirmed by the entertainment coordinator for the celebrations Fredrick Matavikwa,who is also Masvingo education officer for physical education and culture on Tuesday last week when he came to The Mirror looking for Gonora's details after the popular regional newspaper published the initial story about him.
    "Among many other popular artists who will provide entertainment for the President, Gonora is going to be one of them," said Matavikwa.
    Isaac is popular with Masvingo residents for his prowess in playing the drums as they perform around the city in open places.
    Gonora said he is happy to be given such an opportunity to perform before the Head of State.
    "We are very happy with such an opportunity since it gives us the much needed exposure," said Gonora to The Mirror. entertainment
