ZVISHAVANE – Mnene High School has topped in the 2015 A level results in Mberengwa District.
Three of its students made a clean sweep of the exams with 15 points each.
Mberengwa District Education Officer, Jameson Machimbira said the whole district has five students with 15 points and there is no single student who failed to get a point.
"Mberengwa district has five students with 15 points with Mnene leading in the 15 points category. I am proud to also say that the district will not be recording any student without a single point meaning that everyone has at least a point and above," said Machimbira
He also said below Mnene is Chegato High School with one student who managed to obtain 15 points.
He said that the results seem to indicate that Mberengwa District is strong in commercials as four of the five candidates with 15 points are in the commercials and one is an Arts student.
Mnene High head Francis Hove was even more pleased as the school realised 100 percent pass rate. There were 57 students who set for the examinations.
"Our overall pass rate is 100 percent and 57 students set for the October-November Advanced level examinations," said Hove.
"Thirty seven of the students have 10 points and above," said Hove
"Girls also did very well as three of the four students who got 15 points are girls," said Hove
Mberengwa district last year had four students with 15 points and the district is really working hard to aim higher.education
