    – A prominent Chiredzi farmer and hunter was jailed in December last year after he defaulted on two cases of maintenance pitting him against two women.
He had accrued a total of $3 000 in arrears.
Livison Phikelele appeared before two different magistrates on the cases. Magistrate Constance Mutandwa slapped him with six months sentence and suspended the sentence on condition that he pays $1 400 to Gladys Bvumbura within two weeks.
She however remanded Phikelele in prison to December 28 2015 on the second matter as Geraldine Mutsoto who heard against the case was away on leave.
Prosecutor Doubt Phiri said that sometime in 2014 Phikelele was brought to court on the two different cases and ordered to pay $200 maintenance monthly to each of the women.
He neglected payment and was reported to the Police resulting on his arrest.news
