CHIREDZI - Chief Neromwe born Bernard Madzingo has approached the court seeking an interdict to bar Chief Tshovani from continuously visiting and addressing people in his area.
Madzingo confirmed the development to The Mirror and said the matter will be heard at Chiredzi Magistrates Court on November 25, 2019.
Madzingo whose chieftainship was recently restored by Government thereby taking away Tshovani’s area is accusing Tshovani of visiting his area and addressing people claiming that he is still the chief.
“I approached the courts seeking an order to bar Tshovani from visiting the area under my jurisdiction. He continues to defy government which approved and finally restored our chieftainship,” said Madzingo.
Chief Tshovani confirmed receiving summons from the court regarding the issue. He however said he is prepared to defend his actions as there is no official exclamation for the land which he is visiting. He said installation of Neromwe was done despite a High Court interdict.
