Matutu arrested at Selmor Mutukudzi show

    MIRROR REPORTERS

ZVISHAVANE-Zanu-PF Youth League deputy secretary, Lewis Matutu who was arrested at Selmor Mtukudzi show at Shisha Bar in Zvishavane for allegedly forcing himself in without paying was later released without any charge preferred against him.
Matutu’s lawyer Tichaona Chivasa confirmed to The Mirror the arrest, but said he managed to have his client released on Saturday morning without being charged after a ‘misunderstanding’ at a bar in town.
Police source said Matutu was released after he pleaded that he wanted to attend the Great Zimbabwe University graduation ceremony on Saturday where he was going to be capped by President Mnangagwa a close ally of the youth league boss.
Matutu alleges that the Shisha Bar is owned by the Bulawayo based Deputy Minister of Industry and Commerce, Raj Modi whom he accuses of corruption together with other senior Zanu PF officails.
"The Deputy Minister of industry and commerce Raj Modi demands USD$ at his fraudulently acquired businesses in Zvishavane. He also pays Zimbabwe Republic Police officers to protect and guard his premises.  The police in Zvishavane are making a lot of money out of it, NO TO CORRUPTION!" Matutu said in a tweet posted on Saturday morning.
