Peace order protects widow to bring boyfriends into in-laws’ home

GUTU- A promiscuous widow from Majokonjo Village under headman Maungwa in Gutu is causing headaches for her late husband Tinashe Mudarikwa’s parents as the Mudarikwas who are the in-laws are in dilemma; they can’t touch her because she has a peace order.
Her husband passed away in 2003.
Rumbidzai Shava’s misdemeanours are so bad that she recently got pregnant with a boyfriend Collep Chinyoka of Maungwa Village who then married her and they started staying together at the boyfriend’s place.
However, Shava’s marriage to Chinyoka is on the rocks and she is back at the in-laws’ place where she now says she wants to stay permanently.
A month ago, Shava came back to the Mudarikwa Family and said she no longer loves her new husband and wants to come back to rejoin her in-laws.
Disturbed by the move the Mudarikwas reported the matter to headman Maungwa. Shava refused to come to the traditional court.
