    Beitbridge teacher beaten by ‘wife snatcher’

    BEITBRIDGE - A teacher at St Joseph Primary School in Beitbridge was severely assaulted by a man who allegedly snatched away his wife, resident magistrate Langton Mukwengi heard last week.
    Farai Muzondo dragged Prosper Muza of Mashavire to court for allegedly assaulting him after the former met Muza with his ex-wife.
    Muzondo allegedly asked Muza if he was the man who snatched his wife from him.
    Muza appeared in court on Wednesday and was acquitted of the charge.
    It is the State case that on September 8, 2019 at around 10pm, the complainant met Muza with his ex –wife Tafadzwa Netsai Ziya near Mashavire Shopping Centre.
    He asked him if he was the person who snatched away his ex-wife and the accused allegedly answered in the affirmative.
    The accused and the complainant exchanged words and they went to the accused’s place where the accused allegedly assaulted the complainant using fists and a mop handle several times.
    The complainant sustained a cut on his left ear and is having pains all over his body.
