    Shabanie Primary shines at Zvishavane talent show

    ZVISHAVANE – Pupils from Shabanie and Gresham primary schools were the toast of a talent show organised by View Media Gifted Children at Chiedza Hall in the mining town of Zvishavane on Saturday.
    The winners from the two schools were Tadiwanashe Kashiri of Gresham and Shabanie Primary respectively with both winning and Diana Mushandikurwa of Gresham winning  a  cellphone and money respectively.
    Seven schools namely Shabanie Mine Primary , Gersham, Jeffrey Hooper,Neta Secondary, Shabanie Primary and George Chipadza Secondary participated in the inaugural competition and there were over 600 pupils who turned up for the show. The pupils competed in singing, modelling and dancing.
    The guest of honour at the show was Godwin Mwanza who said that children did thier best and he was excited.
    The show saw representatives of the National Arts Council (NAC) and Parliaments of the World’s Religions for Zimbabwe also attending.
    View Media Gifted Children is an arts organization registered under the NAC and is coordinated by Admore Ncube. The organisation was formed on July 2, 2016 its mandate is to identify pupils talented in the arts.
    Thirty pupils contested in modelling and Kashiri came tops. The overall winner of the competition was Diana Mushandikurwa a girl with a melodious voice who gave it all in the singing competition and left the judges with no choice but to award her the winner.
    Ncube said the debut show was a success as the pupils participated in a good manner and was happy that they responded positively.
