    Prominent Beitbridge CID Assistant Inspector dies

    BEITBRIDGE –
    A dark cloud hang over Beitbridge Police Station last week following the death of prominent cop, Assistant Inspector Edwin Muradya who worked in the Anti-poaching Department.
    Muradya who was also in charge of flora and fauna died last week Wednesday morning at a local surgery in Beitbridge.
    He was 38.
    His young brother Tariro Muradya confirmed the death to The Mirror.
    He said his brother was suffering from tonsillitis and at the time he got admitted on Tuesday evening, he complained of severe headache.
    His body was ferried to Bulawayo on Friday afternoon for burial on Saturday. He is survived by three children and his wife Edith Utaunashe Muradya.
    He was a member of the Kingdom Light Global church. Muradya was the second born in a family of six, four boys and two girls.
    “He was a man of integrity, he had his family at heart, full of humor and he was not a complicated person. Everything on him was just simple and he was very unique,” said the brother
    Muradya graduated from ZRP Morris Depot in 2003 and he was posted to ZRP Bikita as a constable where he got promoted in 2008 to be a Sergeant. He was transferred to ZRP Bhasera in Gutu in the same year.
    In 2010 he joined CID in Chiredzi as a Sergeant and in 2012, he was promoted to be a detective Assistant Inspector.
