BEITBRIDGE – A Beitbridge school deputy head who was ordered to pay four cattle and $100 fine for insulting Chief Sitaudze (David Cleopatra Mbedzi) has engaged a lawyer and is appealing against the ruling.
Majini Primary deputy head Velempini Sibanda Hondo has engaged TJ Mabikwa and Partners and is appealing against the ruling made by Chief Matibe on July 21, 2019.
Sources told The Mirror that the case shocked Hondo who is also threatened with banishment from Mat South so much that he collapsed and is currently admitted in hospital.
Hondo was charged with insulting and undermining Beitbridge paramount Chief Sitaudze during a sports tournament held at Luwande Primary recently. Hondo declined to comment when contacted by The Mirror.
Chief Matibe confirmed the appeal made by Hondo’s lawyers.

We therefore request as a matter of urgency that you furnish us with record of proceedings if any and or judgement to enable us to process the appeal within the said time,” reads part of the letter to Chief Matibe.
