    Pamushana crush out of Copa tournament in group stages

    KADOMA-  Last year champions of the U15 Copa Coca Cola tournament Pamushana High made a surprise exit in this years’ edition crushing out in the group stages without scoring a single goal.
    The national competitions were held in Kadoma over the weekend and Pamushana lost 1-0 at the hands of Guinea Fowl whom they dismissed 2-0 in last years’ final to claim their second title in as many years.
    Rusununguko piled misery on the champions by thrashing them 2-0 in their final group match.
    Pamushana coach Bernard Matenga said it is a learning curve the defending champions and hope to bounce back next year.
    The team also made a surprise exit in 2016 when they were eliminated in the group stages in Gwanda.
        . As Hippo Valley suffer same fate
    Four time Copa Coca Cola winners, Hippo Valley’s dreams of lifting a fifth title crumbled in the group stages after the team succumbed 7-0 to eventual winners Prince Edward from Harare and drew 1-1 with Chapwanya from Manicaland.
    The tournament was held in Kadoma over the weekend and perennial powerhouse Hippo Valley’s tactics were out of touch.
    Hippo Valley coach Colonel Dube said he was disappointed to be knocked out early in the tournament
