    COPA Coca Cola roars into life

    MASVINGO -
    A total of 24 teams are converging in Kadoma today, (July 11) for the prestigious premier schools soccer tournament Copa Coca Cola, where winners will walk away ZWL10 000 richer.
    The annual football jamboree runs from today, July 11 to July 13 with Jameson High hosting girls` games while the boys tussle it out at Rimuka 2 High.
    A total of 12 teams in both categories will be carrying the weight of their provinces on their shoulders to lift this year`s trophy.
    In the boys’ category, Masvingo province will be represented by defending champions Pamushana and perennial participants Hippo Valley while Mwenezi High will represent the girls’ having eliminated the five times champion, Chidyamakono who will be missing the nationals for the first time in over 8 years.
    Pamushana was last year crowned the boys national champions after dismissing Guinea Fowl 2-0 and will this year face a huge  task of defending their title as well as stretch their winning streak to three titles.
    Copa Coca cola has been hailed for supporting for giving kids a chance to showcase their budding talents as well as putting them on spotlights for scouts.
