    Buhera ‘donkey thief’ masquerades as tsikamutanda

    BUHERA -
    An alleged donkey thief who masqueraded as a tsikamutanda has appeared at Murambinda Magistrates Court facing two counts of stealing donkeys.
    Edison Dick (38) of Mahachi village under chief Neshangwe would allegedly go and heal a patient but would return in the dead of the night and steal donkeys which he will dispose.
    Dick allegedly stole three donkeys from a client and then another from the Growth Point and sold them both.
    He pleaded not guilty and said he was given the donkeys as payment for the healing.
    Witness Hamudi alleged in court that June 10, 2019 at Goto Village, Chief Nyashanu, the accused went to Memory Munemo’s homestead and took three donkeys. He also stole a black donkey grazing in Murambinda growth point.
    The complainant discovered the offence and made a Police report.
    Magistrate Gylmax Kuhudzai presided over the case.
