    Zhovhe Lodge shines at Beitbridge business awards

    BEITBRIDGE –  Zhovhe Lodges, widely regarded as the best hospitality facility in Beitbridge walked away with the Best Recreational Facility Award at the Beitbridge Business and Awards Summit held at Kingdom Light Global Church in the border town two weeks ago.
    Nyaradzo Funeral Parlour won the Best Commercial Building Award at the awards organized and run by Sundrive Coalition, a company that specializes in brand building, marketing and talent shows.
    Remarkable in Nyaradzo’s attributes is that it started off in 2001 with just 10 employees but the company now has 42 branches throughout the country, regional presence in Randburg in South Africa and a representative office are on the cards for the UK.
    Coincidentally Nyaradzo Group chief executive officer Phillip Mataranyika was the guest of honour and was represented at the awards by Paddington Masamha. In addition to the Best Commercial Building Award, Mataranyika won an Honorary Award which he shared with Hanson Magumise.
    Masamha stressed the critical role that good customer service plays in the growth of business and said Nyaradzo’s success story is a byproduct of customer focus. He said of the 42 service centres that the company has throughout the country, the majority of the buildings there were built from scratch.
    The theme of awards was Inspiring leaders for a better future.
    The Business woman of The Year Award went to Martha Mukandiwa of Little Flower pre- school while Joseph Chimwayi (The Grill Square) was the Young Business Entreprenuer.
    The Youth Organisation award went to Khonani Dzavhudi and Vanessa Mbedzi who is former Miss Zimbabwe USA and Princess S. Mbedzi were given the most influential and active young women awards respectively.
    Honarary Business woman award was won by SarinaNdou and Maggie Chingwinya while Community Impact Award was won by Clay Mupambiki of Southern Aqua. TinasheMabhidhi is the upcoming business person.
    Clay Mupambiki of Southern Aqua said he felt honored for winning the community impact award. He said that the awards will inspire others to reach the same level.
    “It has not been an easy journey.  I feel happy that I have won this award as this is recognition by the community of the good work that I and other players are doing,” he said.
    Zimbabwean top model Vanessa who jointly won The Most Influential and Active Young Women with Princess Mbedzi said she is honored and humbled to be among Beitbridge’s top performers.
    “A very special thank you goes to SundriveBeitbridge Business and Awards Summit Board for organizing this event. We need to continue to work together to develop education, the economy, tourism, health and welfare of the people,” she said.
    Sundrive Coalition founder Innocent Honest Chenjerai thanked every person and heads of Government departments which attended the Summit.
