TRIANGLE-Inconsistent Triangle FC, sitting 13th on the Castle Lager Premiership log after having lost four games this season with just seven points out of a potential 21 points are keen on seeking redemption when the team travels to face 14th placed Harare City on Sunday.
Struggling Harare City are separated by goal difference with the Sugar Sugar Boys, but they have same number of points despite the two teams being amongst the well funded in the Premiership.
Triangle FC gaffer, Taurai Mangwiro bemoaned the team’s poor defending which has seen them managing one clean sheet in seven games although he is optimistic of a top four finish.
“We have to put behind the last three consecutive losses and pick ourselves up. Although we are giving it all somehow we have failed to collect maximum points. We need to reinforce our defense as we have managed one clean sheet so far this season
“We failed to score in one game only, our attacking is perfect and we will give Harare City a torrid as we go all out for a morale boosting win,” said Mangwiro.
Triangle have lost 2-1 against defending champions FC Platinum to Chapungu 1-0 and recently to log leaders Caps Utd 1-2 while their weekend opponents have lost to Fc Platinum 0-2 new boys Manica Diamonds 3-1, 2-1 to army side Black Rhinos and one nill to Caps Utd.
If the Sugar Sugar Boys lose to Sunshine Boys they may kiss good bye any chances of winning the league for the first time in their history in the top flight league.
