    Masvingo musician in collabo with Cypriot groups

    MASVINGO – Tinashe Kwangwari who is from Masvingo but  currently studying in Cyprus will soon launch a single from his foreign base.
    Kwangwari, popularly known as TK Churchboi who got inspiration to venture into music from his church, Word of Faith Church has not dropped the career even after living Zimbabwe for a country where his culture is neither understood nor known.
    In fact Kwangwari who is …years old and studying Journalism at Near East University has broken the cultural barriers and works with musical groups from Cyprus like Hailey and a group called Rubies group.
    Kwangwari spoke on an online interview with The Mirror last week and said that he is currently working on a single that he will release and has performed at the International Night and Library Commemoration held at Cyprus International University, in February this year.
    The International Night and Library Commemoration is a night where we celebrate different cultures in and around Cyprus.
    He said that he is already making waves in the music industry with his album Miracle Life Journey and a recent hit song “You are worthy,” which he released on his birthday on March 22, 2019. His music is attracting a wide range of fans both locally and abroad, he said.
    Kwangwari grew up in Mucheke and left the country for Cyprus.
    “My musical career began in 2010 when I was a pianist and was inspired by my Christian background. I met with several music producers from Masvingo but I was unable to record at that time due to financial constraints. My first single track titled I testify was released in March 2017. I am looking forward to a great music career and making a difference in people's lives through messages derived from my songs,” said Kwangwani.
    In September last year he released a seven-track debut album titled Miracle Life Journey in which one of the tracks tackles social life at college. The album has two hit songs; You the power which talks of the powerful nature of God and She ain’t no Jezebel, and these have been played on various Zimbabwean radio stations.
    Some of his tracks feature Cypriot musicians. On his birthday last year, he dropped a single titled Ndasunungurwa which imitates an old Shona chorus.
    His songs are available on YouTube and various online stores.
    Kwangwari was born in a family of five. His parents are Elvice Kwangwari and Gamuchirai Kachepa. He is the first born in a family of five.
