Chirumanzi businessman arrested for stock theft

MVUMA- Farirai Bvirinyangwe (35) a businessman at Charandura Business Centre in Chirumanzu has appeared at Mvuma before Magistrate Tafadzwa Mhlanga facing charges of stock theft.
It is the state case led by Michael Kazomba that on January 1, 2019 at Musungwa Village under Headman Mbedzi, Bvirinyangwe allegedly stole one ox belonging to Felistas Mpofu.
The state argued that between December 31, 2018 and January 1, 2019, Bvirinyangwe proceeded to Mpofu's cattle pen during the night and allegedly drove away one ox into the bush where he slaughtered it and took away the flesh leaving the offals, bones and head at the crime scene.
The Mirror gathered that Bvirinyangwe’s woolen blue hat gave him away as it was found at the scene of the crime and the footprints led the investigating officers to his butchery.
