    Woman arrested for conning N.Richards customers


    A woman suspected of conning customers from N Richards Wholesalers (Masvingo) has been nabbed by Police.
    Sources alleged that Estere Siamema (34) of number 8 Mushandike created her makeshift parcels counter outside N Richards where she kept goods for the wholesale company’s customers and charged a fee.
    However, from time to time she allegedly disappeared with goods of customers and Police was investigating the case.
    On March 20, Siamema was allegedly left in custody of goods worth $46 belonging to Chengeto Chengeto (34) as the latter entered the wholesale.
    Siamema allegedly packed the goods comprising of potatoes, 2 packets of maputi, 1 packet of biscuits, two avocados, bananas and other items into a bucket and jumped into a ZUPCO bus heading for Mashava.
    Police which was already on high alert in the area pounced on Siamema before the bus departed and arrested her. Masvingo Province Police Spokesperson Chief Inspector Charity Mazula confirmed the incident and said that the case is still under investigation.
    Asked what N. Richards is doing about the need to set up a parcel counter, the manager people were lying claiming that they left some certain goods at the parcel counter so were advised by the Police to remove it to avoid such circumstances.
